Made some progress on BioGas, finding a new design and meeting with a leading Biogas organization within the country.
Killed some time with some cool people.
Lows:
The LC meeting I have been trying to attend for months was declared efudde the day before it was to take place. ('it is dead' or 'it is finished') I don't know what this means exactly. It could mean the meeting was canceled, or that it was moved up and occurred before I came to confirm the date and time. I don't know, one week it was scheduled for the 30th, on the 29th 'effude.'
My org canceled our monthly meeting for now the 2nd month in a row. I still have no counterpart.
What I Accomplished:
The BioGas progress is a big step, but I've also decided I'm not going to build it unless my org gets serious about internal sustainability / evaluation.
What Is On The Agenda:
I need to figure out a way to weight the total quantity of cow manure produced each day at my site. This is a crucial first step in confirming approximate size of biogas digester.
Luganda Lesson of the Week:
Lwaki olira?
Why are you crying?
Sanity Meter:
High sanity right now. I've got malaria training coming up in about a week and the VAC meeting this upcoming Monday. Also I've had some opportunity for R&R lately that I've taken advantage of. After a stressful couple of weeks this has been great. Can't stress enough how quickly sanity is changing these days, the highs and lows are quick and violent.
What I'm Reading:
Finished Without Remorse by Tom Clancy. A bit dark for my tastes.
Probably off the Tom Clancy wagon for a while even though I've got a few to knock out on my reading list.
Started Carrie by Stephen King. I plan to start on the Dark Tower series in the next few months so I want to get some of King's classics out of the way before I start the legendary series.
